SALVATION BY MOONLIGHT

Executing the night's mournful bride
You decline a cloud’s seductive haven
Braving the war, the breathing darkness
The dying sensation of dawn
The light you cry, is the heart to the broken
Your promise, a saving; comfort to the lone
So many quivering lips distract as you breach a tomorrow
Where beneath your pale river, realities speak to reality
And pessimists are humbled, as you render beauty to the stars,
Optimists awakened, when left in your departure

Enchanting the sun’s death
You are proof that life’s a miracle
Evidence to the cure of blindness
Everyday, someone is resuscitated in your reflection
And leans on the everything you are
Relying on your perfection to get them through
