Leaburg Hatchery is located along the McKenzie River, it was constructed in 1953 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE) to
mitigate for lost trout habitat caused by construction of Blue River and Cougar dams and other
Willamette Valley projects. The hatchery is used for egg incubation and rearing of summer
steelhead and cutthroat trout, and for rearing trout.

djnana We also have a national fish hatchery near us - they breed rainbows, browns, cutthroats and brook trout. I've never been able to get such good shots of them as you did. Great clarity in difficult light conditions!

????? this is an interesting set, Tom. At first I thought the statues were of Sturgeon fish. But read further....now do trout fishermen catch these (in the wild)? Cook & eat them?
