A night at Jonker Walk

2008.10.12
Main entrance to Jonker street

Coin boxes

"Please buy me.."

Necklaces

Hand made sandals

Necklace charms i guess.. with colorful crystals inside

Chinese medallion replicas

One of the hawkers demonstrating his unique travel wallet

Wifey is looking at stuffs

Fruit on a stick with some sweet sticky paste on it

My cousin saying "Try lah.."

This is the usual cendol place we used to hang out when we're in Melaka. Their tables are actually taken from antique Singer sewing machines

Here's a side view of the tables

nyum.. cendol. The special thing about the cendols here is that the gula melaka used is much more thicker and creamier, like caramel syrup.

Wifey taking a slurp

My cousin too, the younger of the brothers

OOF bokeh shot.. hehehe

some more OOF shot

but this one turns out sharp.. hehe

another OOF shot..

It's nearly 12am, time for the hawkers to close their shops

A rickshaw cycler patiently waits for his last customer of the day

I wonder who's bike this is.. there's is always a bicycle locked up to the signboard almost every time I've been there.. not sure if it's the same bicycle though

This gated walkway looks pretty spooky at night

Went to Jonker Street for some cendol with my wife, sisters and cousins. Shot these with only my 50mm f1.8. Wish I had a wider prime, hehe...
