An immature katydid lounges on my zinnia. I saw one here on Sunday, but didn't have time to photograph it. It's so cute and colorful - and tiny!

I see those eyes - but it won't turn around and look at me. I love the antennae, which were constantly moving.

I gave up on the katydid for a minute, and turned my attention to another zinnia, still damp with morning dew.

These are my favorites this year. So bright and colorful, and constantly blooming.

They look a bit like a mosaic before they open.

I was determined to get a shot of Katy's face, so I used my lens cap to prod her to turn. She did not seem happy about this.

The katydid is gorgeous but I LOVE (or LVOE as I typed twice) #3. It's a flower growing on a flower. So pretty. Can you send me the original for my wallpaper? *smooches*

wow you really know how to make my skin crawl dont you?! Eek! No really the shots are wonderful nice captures! The little miss is sitting next to me saying "buzz buzz" everything that resembles a bumble bee is a buzz buzz as of lately.

Great close-ups, and cool shots of the katydid! Bugs and insects just don't understand the concept of the camera, do they? Looks like your patience paid off, though. =)
