They grow up so fast
2008.05.17
As predicted, the baby bluebirds left the nest a couple of weeks ago. I looked for them for a few days, but gave up hope of ever seeing them again while they were still fledglings. This morning I saw some familiar activity outside. Sure enough, there they were! They look so sweet.

I'd read that bluebirds will start another nest within about 10 days of the babies leaving, so we cleaned out the box last week. It looks like they might be building a new one, as I noticed them making visits to the box in between trips to feed the fledglings.

After nabbing another worm, it's off to feed the kiddos again.

Fantastic set! All great photos. #2 is such a classic. I like them all.
Did you happen to see "Little Shop of Horrors"? I'm still laughing at your second image, hearing the bass voice of the baby bird. No pipsqueak. These are just remarkable photos, and you have captured them in flight so beautifully. 300mm lens and tripod?
