Tuesday morning, 5:40 am. Pre-dawn light. I set the alarm the night before, hoping for a nice sunrise the following morning, and my efforts were rewarded. The best part? All I had to do was crawl out of bed and stumble to the balcony for the shots. :)

There it is! The first dot of sunlight on the horizon, and the rays starting to streak through the sky.

Just a few minutes later. The sky is constantly changing.

Zooming in on the end of the pier.
|
We spotted a pair of dolphins swimming out beyond the pier.
|
The birds were waking up, too.
|
Someone liked to get an early start with the surf fishing.
|
Every once in a while, he would pause to take in the sunrise. That made me smile.

Every single one brilliant!! Thank you for sharing these. I should say your efforts were rewarded!! The light in the first one is spectacular and the colors wonderful. #4 and #7 are breathtaking!! Can't say enough...

I think with every photo I looked at I wanted to add it my favorites... then I realized I loved every single one of these! They are so beautiful, but I think my favorite is 6... so I think I'll add that to my favorites just so I can always easily come back to this post :) Beautiful work!!!!!!
