Today we made plaster handprints for the children to give to their mothers on Sunday. It was a messy craft that required a few alterations throughout, but the results were pretty neat. The children were so excited to learn which print belonged to which child, and I'm sure that the moms will enjoy having a reminder of what the tiny handprints once looked like.

One of the sand-casted hands didn't turn out right, and another child was reluctant to play in the wet sand, so we used playdough as a mold with much better results.

OnlyInCanada What a nice gift for moms this Mother's Day! My older brother's class did a similar project some 40-odd years ago, and my mom still cherishes it.
