Pierre Joseph a mis au centre de son oeuvre les questions d’apprentissage, d’enseignement et de transmission des formes et des savoirs. Pour la Biennale, il invite dix jeunes artistes français* à réinterpréter, depuis leur propre pratique, les formes et concepts issus de son travail, à la manière d’une rétrospective dont il aurait disparu.

Pierre Joseph’s oeuvre concentrates on the issues of the learning, teaching and transmission of forms and knowledge. For the Biennial he has invited ten young French artists* to reinterpret, in terms of their own practice, the forms and concepts emerging from his work – a kind of retrospective from which he will have vanished.
