Ceuta

Ceuta ou Sebta, du latin Septum (legio), est une ville autonome espagnole enclavée dans le Rif sur la côte nord-ouest du Maroc et se trouve à environ quinze kilomètres des côtes de la province espagnole de Cadix en Andalousie. Elle est l'une des deux enclaves de ce pays en Afrique du Nord avec Melilla, sur la Méditerranée. Avec Tanger et Tétouan, elle est la porte d'entrée du nord-ouest de l'Afrique vers l'Europe.
Ceuta es una ciudad autónoma de España, situada a orillas del Mar Mediterráneo, en el estrecho de Gibraltar. Ubicada en el continente africano, tiene frontera con Marruecos en su límite terrestre. Este país ha reivindicado su anexión como parte de su territorio por su cercanía geográfica, junto con Melilla y otros territorios españoles de menor entidad en el norte de África. El Gobierno de España nunca ha establecido negociación, ya que es parte de alguno de los reinos ibéricos desde el siglo XV.
Ceuta is an autonomous city of Spain located on the Mediterranean, on the North African side of the Strait of Gibraltar, which separates it from the Spanish mainland. Ceuta, together with the other African autonomous city of Melilla and a number of Mediterranean islands, is claimed by Morocco. The area of Ceuta is approximately 28 km².
Ceuta is dominated by a hill called Monte Hacho, on which there is a fort occupied by the Spanish army. Monte Hacho is one of the possible locations for the southern Pillars of Hercules of Greek Legend, the other possibility being Jebel Musa.
