Biennale des Lions 2008
Variations libres sur le lion et l'ours polaire, symboles de Lyon et du Grand Nord Québecois, " La Biennale des Lions 2008 / Lyon - Québec : Lions-nous! " rend hommage à la Ville de Québec et célèbre les liens privilégiés entre la France et le Québec.
Cette exposition internationale, organisées dans le cadre " France - Québec : 4 siècles de fraternité " : la participation française au 400ème anniversaire de Québec, associe la carte blanche à 69 artistes de tous les continents et la vante aux enchères publiques des oeuvres le 3 juillet 2008, jour du 400ème anniversaire de la fondation de la Ville de Québec.
Biennial of the Lions 2008
With free variations on the lion, the symbol of Lyon, and the polar bear, the symbol of Québec and the great North, " The Biennial of the Lions 2008 / Lyon - Québec : Let's link up! " pays tribute to the strong links that exist between France and Québec.
This international exhibition, which will be an integral part of a major event, " France - Québec : 4 Centuries of Fraternity " : French participation in Québec City's 400th anniversary, will give a free hand to 69 artists from every continent, whose works will be auctioned on 3 July 2008, the date of the 400th anniversary of the foundation of Québec City.
