A fire destroys 2 000 m2 in the artistic fallow land RVI
During the night of Sunday, 12/19 to Monday, 12/20 a fire propagated in one of the buildings of the site dedicated in the artistic production in Lyon. A municipal order imposed the closure of the place.
There is not more than a steel armature of the roof. A persistent smell of burnt. And the hole gaping in a facade which lets glimpse the extent of damages. During the night of Sunday to Monday, a fire, apparently of accidental origin, occurred in the artistic fallow land RVI. Without wounding anyone.
Fifteen years of work left in smoke. Some wood, brushes, the equipment, paintings, digital prints … Artists musicians, sculptors, creator of bikes worked in this building.

Dans la nuit de dimanche 19 décembre à lundi 20, un feu s’est propagé dans un des bâtiments du site dédié à la production artistique (Lyon 3e). Hier, un arrêté municipal a imposé la fermeture du lieu.
Il ne reste plus que l’armature en acier du toit. Une odeur de brûlé persistante. Et le trou béant d’une façade qui laisse entrevoir l’ampleur des dégâts. Dans la nuit de dimanche à lundi, un incendie, selon toute vraisemblance d’origine accidentelle, s’est produit à la friche artistique RVI, 84 rue Lacassagne à Lyon 3 e. Sans faire de blessés.
Quinze ans de boulot partis en fumée, déplore François en pensant à son atelier. Du bois, des pinceaux, de l’outillage, des toiles, des tirages numériques… » Artistes musiciens, sculpteurs, créateur de vélos travaillaient dans ce bâtiment.

Impressionnante et spectaculaire série. Je peux seulement imaginé ce que représente la destruction de son travail, ledésespoir face à la ruine !
