He purchased numerous rare and unusual objects from the Nile valley and criss-crossed the East until he had amassed one of the most impressive private collections of oriental objects of his time.

Very nice! We used to get fresh milk all the time. My kids called it cows milk -- like where did they think milk in containers came from?!
