when i came home this morning i found this beautiful little mouse in the kitchen and i spent the rest of the day feeling like a daddy as i cared for this tiny creature.
she is sitting in the crook of my arm purring, sleepy-eyed, as i type this now. she has beautiful blue eyes and spindly legs to match her curling, affectionate, long tail.
being a little young to be apart from her ma she is very needy and finds the world confusing, preferring to sleep and be fed, vulnerable and helpless she is- but to remember that what one gives to the least of His sons and daughters one gives unto Him.
in other news my semester has begun and my diary is filling up - another saturday morning tomorrow- saturdays seem to mark my week these days. I rise early to catch a bus, train and tram to a residential drug withdrawal facility where i treat in- and out-patients with acupuncture under the direction of my clinical supervisor.
Unlike other clinics where i gain clinical hours this facility is often understaffed. This is good as i've gained a lot of confidence in my ability to become a practitioner. The previous three saturdays the only there has been only the supervisor and myself to treat 12-14 clients in the four hours between 9am and 1pm. There are no herbal prescriptions to write or dispense at this clinic which makes things easier.
zzzzzzzzzzzzz.......... the first three photographs were taken last saturday btw.
My impression of you from your blog is that you are the right person to be doing this kind of healing work. Sweet little kitten. It is difficult to raise them from so young. How did the little one end up in your kitchen, though? Who brought the tiny bundle? And what does your dog think?
