New Glasses

I got some new glasses, but the lenses were cut for the wrong frames... so I got these 'grandpa' glasses and I'm waiting for my 'real' pair to show up... I don't mind so much as it means 2 pairs of glasses... I now have 2 'looks'...

I have been in Tasmania for a week when I ought to have been attending lectures in Melbourne... less than 20 weeks and I will be a Dr. of Chinese medicine... yes!

Must say that I think the flame of democracy needs to be kindled to toast the gerontological authoritarian regime in Beijing... it was great to see the 10,000 Chinese students bussed to Canberra for the Olympic torch relay to be so proud and loud and out there... but if they were Tibetan activists in China... I know all about the longstanding 'Han' claim on Tibet but was interested to learn about the Tibetan subjugation of the Tang in 786... therefore....
