[Tambacunda, Senegal. January 2006]
[Camera: Nikon F65, analog!!]
It was very dark when we encamp under the baobabs. The wind was transporting some incandescent filaments as if they were fireflies that were dancing in the night. Finally the weariness conquered us and we sleep under an enormous moon preparing ourselves for the following day.
Still the Sun was stretching itself when the first voices surrounded our shops of campaign. There they were, approaching with their curious looks and the smile of the one that has just discovered a surprise. Little by little they all came, up to the mothers with babies of only weeks of life. Without speaking same language, the most beautiful communication was created spontaneously, and they gave us, which undoubtedly was for me, the best day in Africa.
