it wasnt too deep, actually, about 10 m at the entrance of the cave. i just wanted to kneel there like in a church, as long as my air lasts :-)

Thanks Ruth. Yes, they are living wild - there are flocks and flocks of them in the SE of the UK. They don't know where they originated from - escaped pets probably - but they are thriving. They have no real natural predators here - I don' think a sparrowhawk would chance thier luck with these ones and they really dont land on the ground often - plus they breed earlier than alot of our native birds so dont have to fight to much to feed their young. Good or bad thing? never can tell with the introduction a non-native species!?? some people think it may be having a knock on effect on some native birds?...
