Spring Cleaning

Beijing is cleaning up early in preparation for this year's Olympic Games. Everywhere, you see a lot of renovations, re-paintings, sweepings, brushing here and there.

While my students were taking their Level 3 Exam, two workers passed by the window glass.
Beijing's current situation clearly shows in this photo. While the government is busy making the city fabulously impressive for this year's Olympic Games and educating Tibetans about nationalism , a lot of Chinese students are planning to leave the country to further study.
In the background are the skyscrapers around the Central Business District (CBD) and the ongoing construction of some buildings, including the awesome leaning CCTV building designed by a Dutch architect, Rem Koolhaas.

I took this at the Happy Valley in Beijing. Happy Valley is an amusement park which my students say is the "Disneyland of Beijing."
Believe not. It's far from the truth. Not an ounce of truth in it. They're trying to copy hard some parts of the world's famous amusement theme park, but, duh!

OMG I can't do that!! They are crazy! Impressive shots!!
strange and very intreresting. I'm trying to imagine something like this in my country. I've never seen this before! Why would someone want to clean the outside of a building! In my building when it gets dirty, they just paint over it!
