Fo Ye Miao Temple

2008.05.29
This is unique to Chinese architecture. In every temples I visited, there's some sort of animals on it's roof edges.

Fo Ye Miao Temple is a 500 year old temple 2 hours from Hohot, Inner Mongolia.

The azure sky.
The thin, immaculate cotton-like clouds.
An ancient temple.
The colorful bantings.
And the joss sticks.

Into one

45 degree view of the temple.

This is an incense with little bells and carved dragons.
I hid the sun when I took this photo so it may look like an apparition of something. :))

The side view top wall of the temple. It still looks sturdy and the intricate designs are lovely.

The column.
Take note: No nails involve here.

Purely balance and grace.
No nails involved here.
That what I was told.

It's a beauty, isn't it?

The locked door.
Beware: Dragons' head might bite ya.

Want to be lucky?
Make a wish and whisper your dreams to this well.
Of course, with a price. :))

These colorful banners here are prayers written in a thin, waspy kind of cloth. You can buy these in a window shop few meters away from these trees. Just say what your prayers are and they'll give ya something you asked for, ready-made.

Mostly, of course, are wealth.
