Mutianyu Great Wall

Yes, I know, it's been too long. I've been busy and yes, you're right---TIRED. After the crazy Olympic days, it's a bit hard to switch back our life in Beijing to normal.

But anyway, so many things happened after the Summer Olympic Games and currently, the Paralympic Games is ongoing. But, who cares? I do. I really do. I watched an athletic events last Monday but have not taken too many photos. I still have to choose out of a hundred, I guess.

So, a day before the 2008 Summer Olympic Games ended, I showed two of the Filipino Olympians (High Jump and Diving Olympians) to the Mutianyu Great Wall. We don't have too much time so I showed them the nearest one from Beijing.

So, here it goes.

THE PHOTOS
Mutianyu Great Wall is the most modern Great Wall of all parts of the Great Wall. It looks like a new Great Wall has been built in time for the Olympic Games.

Therefore, I don't recommend it to any tourists passing by Beijing.

Of course, the peddlers can't be ignored. Sometimes, they would harass you for buying into their stuff. :)

as i know, there are three fragments of the wall near Beijing. you chose the most stepped by other tourists. why? unknown is always much more interesting than something else

The wall mystifies me that it was built so long with primitive tools, and your images lets me see it up close and personal, fantastic images, very well captured!! Would like to say I saw a fav, but I love them all, this for sharing these wonderful images :)

To me it's still as fascinating as the older parts. Good photos wonderfully composed. One of my greatest regrets is not going there when I lived in Shenzhen.
