It's been raining for days, pretty cold outside and spitting snow. This isn't an "official" rain gauge, but you can see what I mean about the rain.

I need to plant some of my bags of seeds I winter sowed. (I now have 64 left) To do that after you've had a lot of rain you need a good pair of garden clogs...

...and some gardening gloves at the very least.

Planted a bag of dianthus (victoriana, cherry magic, edwardiana) around the border of the fairy garden. Also planted two bags of convulvus in the "middle circle" as a border. This is the "HOS" or "hunk of seedlings" method of planting.

Glory-of-the-snow are still popping up all around and about the only thing colorful I can see. Oh, these days have been so dreary!

The daffodils are staying bundled up. It must be too cold to make an appearance just yet.

ok get a cup of hot chocolate or maybe wine and wrap up in a blanket and dream of the warm sunshine to come.. love the garden clogs and gloves .. awesome set :)

All you are doing is going to pay off in such beautiful ways. It is really fascinating to watch spring arrive across North America through photos. Wouldn't it be cool to see it in time lapse from a satellite? We're supposed to work in our garden tomorrow, and its supposed to be cold and windy day. You have inspired me to plug on......I'll let you know how it goes:)

Oh my god, that weather is awful and you are still busy for a colourful garden! 64 bags left that's a lot ... Love your garden pics very much!

When i finally get my own house with oodles of room for my dream garden, Im flying you over here to landscape it for me ;) I havnt seen mud like that in SUCH a long time...because of the drought, anytime it rains around here everything just seems to flood...nothing gets absorbed into the hard soil :( Your garden is going to be magical!!!!
