Macerate some strawberries with a little lemon juice and sugar.

In separate bowl add milk...

...Sugar
|
...stir.
|
Add Vanilla
|
Now add heavy cream.
|
Stir again.
|
Add to ice cream maker. (They've come a long way since those crank ones).
|
Wait 25 minutes for ice cream to swirl and thicken.
|
Dish it up soft serve (don't wait for it to "ripen" in freezer).
|
Enjoy!

oh my god - I was just talking about how my grandpa used to make us homemade ice cream and how i LOVED it (wiht a wooden crank thing of course). I want to get my own and make some too...mothers day is coming and i'm leaving hints.
