Ahhhhhh!

Last March for my birthday I received a gift certificate for a massage from a very, very, very good friend!

This was my first professional massage. Now I don't think it will be the last. Ahhhhh!

It was nice to have some relaxing time- "me time". I don't relax easily. The minute I try to relax I think of a thousand things I need to do, then start on doing them. But today, for an hour, I relaxed for the first time in a long time - really relaxed. Did I say I was relaxed? Ahhhh! I needed that!

Then after the massage I spent an hour in the bookstore browsing through books. I don't get to do that often either. And I had a good time with me. I bought two mysteries from the best seller list and a book on nature photography. Ahhh!

Then I decided I could muster the courage to go shopping for me. I don't do that very often either- maybe once a year. I don't like shopping for clothes. (Actually, I don't enjoy shopping for much of anything). I usually wear my clothes until they are threadbare or stained. And even stained or threadbare they look good in the garden.

Well, there's nothing like standing in your underwear in front of a full length mirror trying on clothes to get you all "unrelaxed". Ah! and yikes!

(I will be walking longer and faster than I have been lately and will start looking at those yoga tapes I bought last year when I went shopping.)

And I need another massage.
