Some Thoughts on Paths

My 3-yr-old granddaughters don't really understand the concept of a path. They like to make their own paths through my gardens. I guess I will probably spend a good part of my life always trying to steer them down the right path but I often find them steering me down some new paths.


When I took the pictures of some of the garden paths I started looking for some appropriate quotes to go with them. I stopped when I saw a Buddha quote "You cannot travel the path until you have become the path itself". I was not really feeling inspired - I was feeling goofy and all I could think of is that I've let a few people walk all over me from time to time so does that mean I have become the path itself? ;-)
