Pansies

Next to roses pansies are my favorites flowers. I collect old pansy postcards and handkerchiefs with pansies on them along with anything else that suits my fancy with pansies featured on it.


I like to grow pansies from seed because I can get a greater variety of colors than you would get from a six-pack picked up at a nursery.

Pansy flowers represent the thoughts of lovers, shared before a word is spoken. Named for the French word for "thought" (pensee), the pansy was said to be a charmed flower, possessing telepathic magic - attending to the plucked bloom, you could hear your lover's thoughts.

I don't have to pick a pansy to know what my lover is always thinking!!!
