Our Trip Catalogued by Water Towers

2008.07.07
Clarksville, Tennessee (take the last train).

Oops, Long Grove, Iowa - should have been the last shot. We are almost home with this one! Turn left at the corner and then left again and follow the road for a mile.

Paducah, Kentucky

We didn't see a bird, plane or superman, darn it.
Metropolis, Illinois

Twin towers of Salem, Illinois.

Effingham, Illinois

Matoon, Illinois

Arcola, Illinois

Mahomet, Illinois

Le Roy, Illinois

Goodfield, Illinois.
By the way, Kayla, my granddau., knew that was a Wal-Mart truck. Do you think we shop there too much?

Deer Creek, Illinois

Eldridge, Iowa

July 7 - The long road home.

My husband, my 3-yr-old granddau. and I traveled to Tennessee for a reunion of sorts. To keep the little one busy on the 10 hr trip home I had her look for water towers and old barns. She had fun looking and then I had fun practicing drive-by shooting.

All these pictures prompted me to do a little research when I got home. I did not know the purpose of water towers. Here's "how water towers work". You learn something new every day!
