This is lovely indeed.. I also let lots of weeds stay. Got something that ended up 8 ft tall this summer with the prettiest tiny red flowers and a totally square stem. No idea what it is

This reminded me of a story at our house long ago. Lex also loves sunflowers and planted some. The squirrels ate off the tops and the huge plants had no flowers left. So on her birthday, I bought some sunflowers and attached them to the tops of her plants!
