Walnut Grove Pioneer Village
Walnut Grove was a Scott County, Iowa crossroads settlement and stagecoach stop of the 1860s. The village contains many historic buildings, some relocated from other areas of rural Scott County.
I strolled over there yesterday to try some settings on the camera. Over the next few days I will show several of the buildings and their contents. The rooms are caged off and I had to shoot through little bars to get these pictures. It wasn't very easy.
These pics came from one cabin.
If you do any kind of genealogy research then pictures like this are good to use in your scrapbooks to give a little background of how they lived to your ancestors' history.
