Vintage Process [For Who Asked Me =) ]

2009.09.27
pixel
So as Many people asked me the process of vintage, I’ve decided to show how to.
These are people from my family and family friends that help to gather the wine from the vines. In fact here are just a few, the woman only. The men are in the high places, and taking the grapes inside a room, where I’ll show you in next.
pixel
This is the place where all is done.
pixel
This machine is called Rub, where they put the grapes inside and the machine smashes it and it throw it to the tank. As you can see it is still with grapes, but already also with liquid (wine).
pixel
Indeed these only takes a part of the wine from the grape, after that, you put the smashed grape (that still have some liquid on it) and put on this wood stuff that is called Press.
So this smashes this even more, till down. [Imagine, you put the rest of the smashed grapes on it, and it goes down, smashing till the last drop. Can you understand?]
The liquid [Wine], stays in down, that is also called tank.
pixel
All the liquid[Wine] is put in this things that are called Vat.

There is where the wine lies down, and in some days they put some stuff on it [its product to make the wine better], and then it is done. Later in 1 or 2 months, they bottle the wine. And then it is ready to consume! :)
pixel
I hope I could make some people curiosity goes away! And I can tell you that house made is always the best, even that I hate wine! :)
Ah! I almost forgot, someone asked me if they go to the tub [Tank] with bare feet. Well, yes, but that’s not what happens with white wine. They only go to the tub if it is the red wine! ;)
We don’t own red wine this year, only white.
Note: The italic words are words translated from Portuguese to English, so I don’t know if they are correct. If there is some wrong word, please let me know.
