What in the world happened to Miguel (TheBox)? Part. I

Welcome to our Thurday’s section. This week we have the pleasure to share with you our interview with Miguel (TheBox). Enjoy his answers and don’t forget to leave your comments and suggestions below. 1. Why are you now TheBox? (For who doesn’t know you) And why is your display picture a quercus brunch? Is it because you’re an oak wooden box? I’m TheBox because my last name is Caja that means “box”. And my avatar is a quercus brunch because I love oak forests. 2. There is someone called ‘’Spongebob Squarepants’’ and is square and looks like a sponge. You’re Miguel Caja, that means you look like a box? Of course! Did you doubt it? 3. Why is your surname Caja? I’ve never seen a surname like that, is it normal in Spain? It’s because I am special! I’m the only Caja… I stole the last name to my father and now he has no last name. LOL! 4. For who doesn’t know, you’re a geologist. What’s your relation with geology, if your wife is more into biology? Do you know where “biology” lives? Upon geology! She has nothing to do without me! Furthermore, rocks are plenty of life.

5. Do you collect rocks? Shouldn’t you be “Piedra’’ (stone) more than ‘’Caja’’ (box)? I don’t collect rocks, either minerals or fossils. And do you know that “piedras” (stones) do no exist in geology? All are rocks. 6. Can you share with us any funny story that happened to you while you were taking photos? Before I get my first digital camera, I used to take photos with the timer to have time enough to run to the right place to be in the picture… But it was quite normal to develop the film and see that I was still running when the count down ended… 7. What’s exactly this (not the coin, of course… LOL) It’s a key ring my wife gave me two years ago. It’s a cactus inside a theft-proof recipient.

8. I remember your first avatar was this, why a Viking? Because Vikings grab all opportunities, are versatile and agile, do not plan everything in detail, don’t promise what they can’t keep… And I’m quite like that.

9. You have a lot of photos of graffiti. Have you ever painted one? No… I do prefer markers. But once I painted a cathedral and a dogaebi in the wall of my bedroom.

10. Where have you lived? I’ve lived in Sweden, Norway, Canada and Barcelona. 11. From all places you’ve been, which one did you like the most? This is hard to answer… I prefer to keep searching! 12. You’re constantly changing of DSLR Camera, are you rich or having baths with money in the bathtube? I only have had 2 DSLR, the rich person is my wife… she has had three! 13. How the hell are you constantly traveling? I wanna work with you, LOL! That’s because rocks are always too far and they are too heavy to travel, it’s better that I go to visit them, don’t you think so? 14. Tell us about this experience, you’ve done ‘’Camino de Santiago’’ (The Way, the road to Santiago) 3 times… and all alone… Where did you get that courage? And how was the experience? Courage is my second last name. LOL When you make the road and turn back, you are a different person. The main thing is not to arrive to Santiago de Compostela, but to “make” the road, live every step. I made The Way three times following three different routes: from Roncesvalles, from Irún and from Sevilla. And the experience… you have to do it!
