Love the second shot Ricky! The sepia is nice. Great thoughts on Pride. Pride is when you insist that you are right, even when you know that you are wrong!

A lot of money and shiny, cool jewelry for only a short happiness. The true value of love of humanity, and true friendship! This is the greatest value to me! But the jewel of people have, to enjoy a bit of sparkle. :)

Dan, I think pride is when you insist that you are right, and you never even think that you might be wrong:) Pride is a tricky word for me - we have two words in Czech for this - to be proud in a positive and negative way...for example I am proud of my children - that is positive. And I admit that sometimes I was too proud too in my life...usually my friends good talking to cured me very quickly:))

This topic has begun a good discussion Ricky. Sometimes being proud of a young person's achievements, no matter how small, and helping them to see their own value can encourage greater efforts to achieve.

Yes pride is a tricky one... I'm proud of my NOSE because it is a 'Seymour' nose and I like to think that somewhere in the mists of time I am related to the Seymours who married into Royalty all that time ago.. See here for Alleged likeness. (Picture #3) I was very PROUD when a friends Parents (an Earl and Countess) Had to ask which school I went to. They thought I might be one of them... My pride in all this is something I'm not at all proud of :)))) . Yes .. complicated.

It is said...."Pride comes before a fall" What is it about pride that can be so destructive in one circumstance yet so valuable in another. Being proud of another's acheivements or even oneself is an example of the positive . Being puffed up, haughty and arrogant of oneself is an example of the negative. There seems to be be such a fine line between the two.....yet such a different outcome!
