well... idk what a 'magicbox' is... but I would use off camera light, like a lamp or something with as bright a bulb as possible and then diffuse it somehow... with some tissue paper or something hanging in front...
I don't know either what a magicbox is...but if you can keep the bug calm, you can use any type of continous light lamp, combined with a difussor like translucent plastic or paper placed in front. That way you will avoid the excessive brightness on the bugs surfaces. It's the same that Marjorie did proposed.

If you have too many problems, it's better to place the bug near a window, and in the oposite side, put a white canvas playing like a reflector. Curved canvas can work at the same time like a background
