leapfrog - u are absolutely right, but sputnik in Russian is a satellite. The first type of Soviet starships was called as Vostok and two heroic dogs as Belka and Strelka. This "party" in Minsk was made in mid 1970s after the first Belarusian astronaunt Victor Klimuk's voyage to the space.
