Mountain Wave

Sunday afternoon around 4:15 I was driving home from an errand. I could see the mountains well from the street I was on, the full range. And what I saw took my breath away. Wind was blowing over the mountains and lifting up the snow high into the air. The sun was just right and it outlined the whole spectacle, it was SO beautiful. Of course, like Dancing Dolphin, I was alone and worse NO CAMERA! I hurried on home and went to a high spot to try to catch it but it was too late, the sun was gone. I did manage to get one good picture but not like the one where the mountains were etched with silver! Today I read in our paper (that's the way our news is!) that it was a rare meteorological phenomenon called a mountain wave. Amazing!
