From the Top of the Town

2008.02.29
This Trail End, which was built by John B. Kendrick who first came here on a cattle drive in the 1800's. He later became governor of Wyoming and as you can imagine, became a cattleman and entrepeneur. Most of the city's parks were given to them by him. This home is built on a high hill overlooking the town and is now a state historic site.

Looking from the front of the mansion to the sundial and what used to be a reflection pool. This view overlooks the town on to the Bighorn Mountains.

cobaltbutterfly Really nice pictures. Thanks for the information with the pictures, it adds more to the "personality" of the house. The Bighorns are always beautiful. Love, PCA
