Hearing a commotion behind me on our walk today I turned around to see a wild turkey taking flight from a dog which was chasing it. He flew up to the top of the light pole and looked very odd up there.

Oh my gosh, I guess I thought they flew so poorly that the top of a light pole would be beyond their capability!! Just look at the beautiful feathers on the second one! I admit I have a turkey feather 'fan' from one that was shot.... they really can be quite pretty despite how stupid they appear to be! :-)
