Daman-e-Koh is one of the most popular outing spot in Islamabad. Its name is a conjunction of two words:
Daman, which means
center and
Koh, which means
hill. Daman-e-Koh therefore meaning
center of the Mountain. It is located at the north of Islamabad in the middle of Margalla Hills. It has two picnic spots, one is located at north while other is located at south. Parking is available on both spots. On north side of Daman-e-Koh, there is a small cafe available for tea, drinks and snacks. On the south side, there is a restaurant located for lunch and dinner. South side is a sightseeing spot from where Islamabad can completely be seen. -
