I like #2. I think you are doing well with the HDR as you are not overprocessing and the affect leaves a "real" looking photo with more depth. The other HDR affect I like to see is when the result looks like a painting.

Amazing and beautiful photo collection. This looks like a splendid illustration of how HDR should be used with out looking too hyper realistic. Well done.
