87/366 A sad tale!

I found this little thing hanging by a thread and thought that he might be going to pupate (now thats a word I did'nt think i would be using today) so left him(or her!) to it.

Came back later that evening and he was still hanging around.

Still there the next morning.

Later in the afternoon and I thought he looked like starting to pupate( there's that word again!!)

Went to see this morning only to find a rather large, camera shy, spider tucking into his breakfast, so sadly we won't be seeing any butterflies springing from that caterpiller!
