216/366 Dragonflies there was not!

Got no idea what this is only that its black and it flies.

I just liked this shot, thught the flower looked very white.

Thought this fella could be saying something like "you lookin at me!!" and then we quickly back away.
|
Went to my favourite dragonfly pond today and only spotted one, he stayed in the middle of the pond then flew away

Second guy is a hover fly but the first one beats me, like the lacelike feel to the flower in no2... Dragonflies are a pig for not sitting still very long, by the time I`ve switched the camera on they`ve usually gone. :-))

Nice photos !! We Japanese call the black bee of #1 'Benjo-bachi'. Benjo means lavatory.

You know when you have been taking too many bug pictures when the bees see ya comin and signal their friends to take off....lol That's a Black Wasp and they sting like a giant hypodermic needle with barbs on the end of it......yikes
