Along the Bluebonnet Trail

2012.03.24
pixel
As you will see as we go along the trail, I wasn't the only one enjoying the bluebonnets. These two looked like Mutt and Jeff.

I thought the tractor an harrow in the background added a little. Let me know if you think I'm wrong.
pixel
No bull about it, he was more interested in eating than looking at the flowers.
pixel
After I whistled he did look my way.
pixel
This guy was mooing to a cow off to the left.
pixel
Big bull, nuff said.
pixel
Like a lot of people I guess these cows just wanted their picture taken amid the bluebonnets.
pixel
After a quick peek at me they went about their business of relaxing.
pixel
This was near where the dog picture was taken. The tree line on the left is where they were walking.
pixel
Bluebonnets and mesquite trees with a little water on the side.

These were on a series of mounds that went for about a hundred yards. They were along the tops but now down in the low areas between.

If you look really close you can see what I missed. It's a clothes hanger on the stump just inside the fence. What are the odds of something like that happening on the exact spot you wanted to take a picture? Calls for Photoshop next round.
pixel
Last year when I took shots along this fence it was much straighter.
pixel
I took almost this same shot last year, just a little different. Nice to know some things take a long time to change.

Old dead trees and bluebonnets.

This was along the trail. Not many bluebonnets but just couldn't pass up the reflections. Here are several views.

The Indian Paintbrush were just starting to show up among the Bluebonnets.

One of the many horses along the trail. This one looks like she's smelling a Bluebonnet.
pixel
These two Barhamas were slowly making their way toward me.
pixel
These are from along the Ennis Bluebonnet Trail south of Dallas. Progress was slow along the road due to the traffic from people taking photos. What should have taken me two hours took three and a half and some areas were too crowded to pull off the road. Oh well, there's always next week. Enjoy and critique please.
