Mumbai: as I saw it from a bus
2008.07.09
Post-dated 12 July 2008
We were making our way downtown for dinner - the journey took us more than 2 hours if not 3, and I had a lot of picture opportunities, at least while it was daylight and if I was at a good angle without the glare from the glass pane.
I was seated on the left hand side of the bus while Amit was on the right (he was the other enthusiast with the Canon 450D) - we promised to exchange shots - the left with the right and the right with the left. I hope he starts a Photoblog and I'd link it here :) Yes, Amit?
This shot was taken when I saw this boy walking indeed very intently looking for something.

Q: how not to get stares from your subjects?
A: get a good telephoto lens. I have my eye on the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 as recommended by Danesh but I just found out today it will not only set me back some as Danesh warned, but by a whole lot! But I want to save money to get it =)

These kids delighted me - it gives photographers one of the reasons to go on snapping

Getting there ... getting there. I had Pin Pin who is a great conversationalist to chat with and I had a great camera (though it needed a good flash and the EFEF 70-200mm f/2.8 yada yada yada ...) and so the 2-3-hour journey isn't really so bad.
