on the shuttle bus from JFK airport to manhattan I sat next to this nice girl from melbourne. she asked me whether it was okay to carry around a handbag in new york, cos her mum had told her that she should wear a backpack or even a bumbag for safety. I figured she was pretty young, because she said to me: "I can't wait to go to the Maccas here – I hear their burgers are really good!" of all the things she could do in new york, she wanted to go to McDonald's?
