365 - Park Life [44]

2007.04.11

A bright sunny day.

A few notes:
I need to figure out what to do in such a bright midday light, it flattens everything out. The softer evening light would be better but I work evenings.
I ought to remember I can use the flash in sunlight. The photos of the bees in the blossom came out very dark.
I should take a sheet of card with me to act as a windbreak. The slightest breeze causes the delicate flowers to move in and out of focus. Very frustrating.
I should learn the names of the plants.

The purple flowers are a new discovery, I've never seen them before. Took quite a few photos but they came out blurred because of the wind.
The small bird, the Wren was a rare catch, they're usually too fast for me or blend in with the shrubs.

hazaj # 4 it's Fritillaria meleagris. It's amazing plant but it's poisonous one.

????? Thank you. I looked up the common name - Snakes's head.
I'm not sure if this has been cultivated or is growing wild. It was hidden away under a tree, a few yards from the flower beds. The checkerboard colouring is amazing.
