An overcast day and low light. I'm off work till Tuesday so we go for a late afternoon stroll to see if I can better this morning's photos.
When I started to photograph the park I decided to avoid the sections that barred Bella. Recently I was told well behaved mutts were not unwelcome in the Hothouse and the small Garden Centre around the back. Today we visited the Hothouse, someone left an outside door open and curiosity got the better of me. I haven't visited this place for years.
The first thing I noticed was the awesome Passion Flower [I had to go on tiptoe to snap it], after that the only other plants I recognise were the Bird-of-Paradise flowers that I'd previously seen on Tenerife island [looking worse for wear], and the Lily.
The strange 'leopard' succulent[?] in the cacti end fascinated me.
I had to hold Bella while other folks were in there, she can be a nuisance when she gets bored, trying to photograph at the same time was very difficult, I'm sure she knows when I'm pressing the shutter button, a lot of the photos came out blurry, the low light didn't help. I'll look upon the visit as reconnaissance and next visit take my tripod. It looked to me as if a lot of the plants were just starting to bloom so a treat may await me. I'm rather glad I previously avoided the place.
As we returned home we noticed the squirrels were out but we were too tired to stalk.

You're right.....this is a really nice set! The calla lily macros are especially lovely.... I've never seen the leopard one or #8 before.....#8 looks like it might be some sort of fuschia, but what a strange one!
