Today while photographing some roses I noticed a squirrel heading towards me, spooked by some kids, I had a close-up lens attached, there was the chance that my movements while removing the lens would have diverted the creature. I chose to just watch and had the pleasure of seeing the squirrel scamper past, stop and look me in the eye at a distance of a less than a metre, the closest I've ever been to a squirrel. Wonderful!, I'm glad I left the camera alone.
Where was Bella? - fortunately she was busy being taunted by another squirrel up a tree on the other side of the rose garden.
This is a splendid set! I thought that each one in turn was my favorite....until I saw the next! I love the description of your encounter with the squirrel....
