I took my eyes off this moth to change my lens and despite my best efforts could not find it again amongst the brown leaves.

After a bad start to the day, we both returned from our morning visit to the park frustrated, Bella had to stay on the leash and I came back with only half a dozen worthless photos, the afternoon brought better luck. I found a book of Ansel Adams photos in a charity shop along with a new book by Carl Hiaansen to keep me amused at work. We also fared better during our afternoon park visit, no other dogs besides Bella so she was able to run free to stalk as many squirrels as she pleased, and there were plenty about, and I got to take photos of bugs.
On our way home Bella chased a squirrel up a low, thinly branched cherry tree and I thought I'd be able to get some close shots of it as it couldn't go very high, but the damn thing disappeared. I'm always amazed when they do that.

These are awesome! I love your macro shots especially. That cluster of small white flowers is particularly nice. Oh and the moth is fantastic!
Peter, I'm more and more fascinated by your ability to see the little beautiful things waiting to shine through your attention. You are a gifted photographer. You always seem to know what's the best angle and everything to catch these things at their best. Today, the shots that impress me the most are #6 -so close, so clear!-, #7, 8 -nice composition- and #11.
