The schedule demanded that this flower and the rest in the bed be pulled up and thrown on the tip and the ground be turned ready for a new planting. The plants were still flowering.

My main impression of the day - the sun came out this afternoon and dried off the leaves but the larger drops from this morning's rain were left sitting there like tiny marbles. They looked best on oak leaves.
This is the closest shot I have from my archive.

I spotted a pheasant in the park today, a rare visitor, but sadly I still have no camera, never mind, I should have one later next week.
Last Sunday I noticed one of the trees had produced fruit, a pear to be exact, just the one, hanging from the tip of a lower branch [I've since been informed that this not unusual] I was amazed, at it's appearance and the fact that it was still there within reach, in a public park. I was hoping it would remain till I could photograph it but this morning it had gone. I searched around it case it had fallen and roll down the slope but it had gone, shame.
A week without a camera finally got to me. Last night I bought a used Samsung GX-10 on Ebay and with the money left in my budget I bought a Sigma 70-300 APO to go with it. The lens macro's down to 1:2 and my close-up lenses will fit straight on. I'm also on the prowl for an old Pentax 50mm f1.7 for the Winter Light to complete my kit. How I take photos will completely change. I am extremely curious.

I feel like when you're gonna get your new camera, you'll be like a kid with the greatest toy walkin' in the park. Will you get your DSLR you talked about?
