.., a couple of brave/foolish squirrels tried a ground assault but the prospect of getting caught between frequent passer-by's and Bella quickly discouraged them.
Once I'd bagged some birds we moved on, I find I can now analyse a squirrel scene faster than I do most things in life. Bella doesn't want to leave she hasn't had enough.
Took some good flower pics but the single bee I saw was too quick for me and one isn't worth chasing.
I hear the Yapping Crew, let's take a look. What a racket. Bella's gone off anyway to check out the noise.
I'm not quite convinced I took this photo. [Just in case you're confused this is not Bella, this is too energetic for Bella.]
I meet another Big Camera user, only the fourth I've spotted this year. I pass on a couple of good spots...
Bella hates flower photography, gets bored, came over for a cuddle, scared off the bugs so she got snapped. She hates close-ups.
Taken on a late third visit as the sun set so we had to be quick. This is the theme entry for 'New Beginnings' but I didn't realise it was a day theme and it grabbed the whole page.

Oh!...Peter, this set starts to look just like the kind of work that got me addicted to your blog when I arrived on Photoblog. Gorgeous flowers and outstanding bee/fly/wasp close-ups...and superb bird and dog shots too... Really strong, top class, truly fine set today, my friend. It seems that you're getting better everytime with movement shots! And again, I can't get enough of these notes. It is so interesting to know the story behind some shots, the photographer's impressions on them. #12, 13 & 14 are fascinating. #22, 25 & 26.......just: WOW! It's been a while now that I haven't seen such spectacular insect macros...Spring must be close now... You are such an inspiration for me Peter...Now i can't wait to do some of these myself (but I'll have to wait a couple of months...: (
