Once I'd bagged some birds we moved on, I find I can now analyse a squirrel scene faster than I do most things in life. Bella doesn't want to leave she hasn't had enough.

We had a wander and I thought I'd try out a close-up lens on the 18-55mm kit lens, a lens I use infrequently, let's find another use for it. [I don't like the 'Macro' bit of the Sigma 70-300mm.] I'll go look for flowers & bugs, I snapped a Bee and a Fly the other day, there must be more. One of the embankments has a nice selection of early risers.

Took some good flower pics but the single bee I saw was too quick for me and one isn't worth chasing.

After a few shots we head for home and I spot Max and Mr Thompson[?] on the road to the main gates, I missed the shot I wanted because I still take too much time messing with the camera controls, they're still frustratingly unfamiliar. Max and his human are in the wrong place but the rest of the photo looks good.

Oh!...Peter, this set starts to look just like the kind of work that got me addicted to your blog when I arrived on Photoblog. Gorgeous flowers and outstanding bee/fly/wasp close-ups...and superb bird and dog shots too...

It seems that you're getting better everytime with movement shots!
