Flight study. Outstanding start to the day. This afternoon I have to sort out a hard-drive change over that hasn't gone smoothly.

Snowdrops in the dirt. I felt a bit strange taking this photo but you would have to read 'Pollen' by Jeff Noon to know why. In my defence I was just curious.

The Sigma 70-300 lens was in macro mode unintentionally and the dog close. The blurring is impressive on long hair. Keeping the head in focus was hard.
|
I had the camera on continuous auto-focus and it kept going for the roof. By the time I switched it off the pose had changed.
|
Thistle-head. I'm impressed by this photo. Thank god for EXIF data because all I remember is pressing the shutter. How will I learn if I don't know what happened.

I like 22 a lot, and the action in 15.

I like the first bird pic. The flight looks so graceful. I don't think I like the snowdrops in black and white. And dirty snowdrops...I will have to look up Jeff Noon, I guess. And I kind of liked the one that should be entitled "walk softly and carry a big stick". Looks like grandpa and grandson doing the same thing. And, yes, I like the thistle too...although I'm glad it's not in person. There's too many of them around here in the fields that drift over to my yard.

Great set of photos. Love the close-ups of the birds and snowdrops
