Park Life [383]*

2008.03.15
Accidentally under-exposed but still looks good.

To keep an interest in daffodils I've been looking out for variations.

Balancing act.

Forsythia.

Three yellow daffodils and a fly.

This picture bothers me.

The base of the big tree that got blown over & scale model. The remaining piece. I think they should plant a replacement just above and leave the stump there [after cutting off the sharp bits]. It will be to future generations a natural seat under a spread of branches. It attracts kids.

Blossom in the cafe garden. Bella hates hanging around in this place, she whines about it.

Moving target. Nature likes to dance.

They vibrate with the wind and I have slow shutter speeds, so it's a waiting game. That annoys Bella.

Sigma 70-300 in 'macro' mode.

Chionodoxa forbesii. [I think]

A gloomy, wet day.

ncshutterbug Wonderful! So many favorites, it's hard to choose. I do especially like #3, #8 and #10. Excellent capture on the dog running, too!

oldbabe I like the variations in daffodils you have found. And, since my favorite color is blue, I like those blue flowers...not sure what they are...I should know, there are some in my garden...or will be next month. And I like the forsythia...your area looks to be about a month ahead of us as far as weather. You are giving me a preview...something to anticipate.

And I like your comment about nature dancing...yes, it does. Oh, and that fly is creepy.

Carley Another magical set! Peter, have you gone back and looked at your first shots and compared them with what has been happening recently? I thought they were magnificent in the beginning....but they (and you) just keep getting better and better. Let's hear it for practice, no?

peterk Yes I have, and I agree.
